July 22nd - Ticks and Lyme Disease in South Frontenac

On Friday at 11:30am we will be meeting at Verona Lions Center (which is at 4504 Verona Sand Rd,) for our SALT meeting.

The Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) committee wish to invite you to a free lunch and a presentation about Ticks and Lyme Disease in South Frontenac.

Arm yourselves with the best prevention by educating yourself on this pesky arachnid and the disease that they can transmit to humans.

Joan Black and Melissa Demer of the Communicable Disease team and part of the Infectious Diseases Prevention Program at Kingston Public Health will be bringing us this informative talk.

September 16th - Cannabis

On Friday at 11:30am we will be meeting at Battersea United Church (which is at 2219 Wellington St) for our SALT meeting.

The Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) committee wish to invite you to a free lunch and a presentation about Cannabis.

Amanda Shand from Addiction and Mental Health Services – Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington (AMHS-KFLA) will be our guest speaker.  AMHS-KFLA is a non-profit organization that delivers community-based mental health, addiction and housing services to more than 7,000 individuals in the City of Kingston and the counties of Frontenac and Lennox and Addington.

Time: 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

November 18th - Wills and Power of Attorney

On Friday at 11:30am we will be meeting at Southern Frontenac Community Services (which is at 4295 Stage Coach Road) for our SALT meeting.

The Seniors and Law Enforcement Together (SALT) committee wish to invite you to a free lunch and a presentation on Wills and Power of Attorney.

Susan Irwin form Rural Legal Services in Sharbot Lake will be our guest speaker.

A Will and Power of Attorney for Property or Personal Care are important documents, especially for end of life planning. Learn how to prepare the following:
